Hunting at Makhulu Safari's is done in an ecological responsible and sustainable manner; the animals are well fed, and well cared for. One of our highly trained professional hunters will always accompany the hunting party, and will see to the safety of people and animals.
We have 4 bow-hunting facilities on the farm with different scenery and challenges.
To guests' disposal we have an outdoor barbeque area and a lapa, providing you with the perfect way to experience the bush at night. We also have a spacious and comfortable lounge area, which will cater for your hunting party. Our catering package includes famous South African cuisine - barbeques and stews, which can include the animals you've hunted, or other fresh local dishes. For a real African setting, you can choose the option where your meals are prepared in the veld.

On arrival at Kimberley Airport, you are collected by one of the owners and driven to Makhulu Safari's or the chosen hunting lodge. The hunting farm is about an hours' drive from Kimberley. On arrival at the lodge, you are checked into your room after which we will visit the shooting range to zero in the rifles.
The professional hunter will always make sure that everybody are knowledgeable about hunting procedures, safety and the weapons that are used.
If there is enough time, you will be treated to a late afternoon drive and some hunting. The evening will be spent relaxing around a campfire.

In the case of trophy hunting, the meat stays the property of Makhulu unless arranged otherwise.
A Trophy animal is a male animal of which the horns qualify for SCI and a management animal is a female or male animal of which the horns do not qualify for SCI.
